To provide a support metal fitting which can be easily, quickly and surely fixed to a support column without using other members or tools and can surely support a heat insulating material for a long period of time without impairing heat insulating performance.SOLUTION: A support metal fitting is provided with: a support metal fitting body 2 which is bent in a U-shape so as to abut on a front surface and both side surfaces of a rectangular support column; a support part 3 (31, 32) which is bent and extended at a right angle outward from both ends of the support metal fitting body 2 and supports a heat insulating material; a locking part 4 (41, 42) which extends straight from both ends of the support metal fitting body 2 and is folded on a back surface of the support column to lock the support metal fitting body 2 to the support column; and a slit part 5 which is provided along a bent part as a boundary between the support part 3 extended from one end of the support metal fitting body 2 and the support metal fitting body 2, and separates the support part 3 from the support metal fitting body 2 by bending and extending the bent part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
