ELECTRIC HEATING TYPE CARRIER AND EXHAUST GAS EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE
To provide an electric heating type carrier and an exhaust gas emission control device capable of excellently suppressing temperature difference generated in a base layer during energization and excellently suppressing heat conductivity to a metal electrode, to suppress a crack in the base layer.SOLUTION: An electric heating type carrier comprises: a ceramic-based columnar honeycomb structure having an outer peripheral wall, and a partition wall disposed inside the outer peripheral wall and partitioning a plurality of cells forming a flow path from one end face to the other end face; an electrode layer disposed on the surface of the outer peripheral wall of the columnar honeycomb structure; and a metal electrode provided on the electrode layer via two or more conductive base layers separated from each other.
