To provide abnormality detecting means, an abnormality detection method and an abnormality detection program capable of detecting abnormality of a dimmer.SOLUTION: The abnormality detection means includes: abnormality determination means which determines whether current between transparent electrodes in a determination target period is equal to or larger than an overcurrent determination threshold, and also determines that detection of current equal to or more the overcurrent determination threshold is abnormal; and a timing control circuit in which a predetermined period until a spike of current between transparent electrodes generated at an application timing of a voltage pulse becomes less than the overcurrent determination threshold is a non-target period, and a period of time when the non-target period elapses from a timing of application of a voltage pulse is set as a start timing of the determination target period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
