To provide a snow removal device of power receiving/transforming facility case capable of performing efficient snow removal operation without consuming wasteful energy.SOLUTION: A snow removal device of a power receiving/transforming facility case has: a snow removal part 102 provided on a top face of a power receiving/transforming facility case; a snow accumulation amount measuring part 101 measuring a snow accumulation amount of the top face of the power receiving/transforming facility case; and a control part controlling a drive of the snow removal part according to an output of the snow accumulation amount measuring part. Also, a snow removal device control method of the power receiving/transforming facility case has; a step of detecting presence/absence of snow on the top face of the power receiving/transforming facility case; a step of measuring the snow accumulation amount of the snow when the snow is detected at the detection step; and a step of starting the snow removal part provided on the top face of the power receiving/transforming facility case when the measured snow accumulation amount is equal to or more than a first snow accumulation amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
