To provide a connecting member capable of connecting a water flow path of a drain pipe and a water flow path of a drain material without using a perforated pipe.SOLUTION: A connecting member 10 that connects a horizontal drain material 3 that is engaged with a vertical drain material 2 placed in soft ground so that water can flow near the ground surface and a drain pipe 4 for draining water comprises: a body portion 21 with a hollow interior that allows water to pass through; a pipe connecting portion 22 provided at both ends of the body portion 21 and whose inner diameter is the same as the outer diameter of the drain pipe 4; and a drain material connecting portion 23 that protrudes from both side surfaces of the body portion 21 and has a fitting port that communicates with the cavity of the body portion 21 and into which a flat horizontal drain material 3 can be fitted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
