ASSISTANCE DEVICE
To provide an assistance device including a handrail part rotatable with respect to a fixation surface and lockable at a predetermined position, where a locked state can be easily canceled by one hand.SOLUTION: An assistance device 1 comprises a lock mechanism that is mounted on an attachment part 10 attached to a fixation surface 2 and locks a rotatably supported handrail part 20 at a predetermined angular position with respect to the fixation surface 2. The lock mechanism includes: a lock part 30 that is fixed to the attachment part 10 and comprises a plurality of fixation recesses 31 corresponding to the predetermined angular position; a latch part 40 that is extended along a longer direction of the handrail part 20 and has a proximal end, an end on the attachment part 10 side, capable of being disengageably engaged with any of the plurality of fixation recesses 31 of the lock part 30; an operation part 50 that is pivotally supported by a tilt shaft at an opposite end of the attachment part 10 at the handrail part 20 and is tiltable around the tilt shaft; and a conversion part 60 that couples the operation part 50 with a distal end of the latch part 40 to convert tilt motion of the operation part 50 to linear motion in a distal direction in which the latch part 40 is separated from the attachment part 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
