To provide a vehicle anti-theft device having high reliability even with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A vehicle anti-theft device U includes: a shaft 2 to which a steering wheel H for operation of changing a direction of wheels in a vehicle 1 is attached; a tilt drive unit 4 that adjusts a vertical angle of the shaft 2; and a telescopic drive unit 5 that adjusts a front and rear position of the shaft 2. The vehicle anti-theft device U is provided with a lock mechanism R in which an engagement unit 6 and an engaged unit 7 are arranged in the shaft 2 and the vehicle 1 in a distributed manner. The engagement unit 6 and the engaged unit 7 engage with each other to inhibit rotation of the shaft 2 when the shaft 2 is located at a tilt position and a telescopic position that are set in advance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
