To provide a portable terminal, an information writing system, and a portable terminal manufacturing method, which can maintain security without impairing the convenience of registering the portable terminal in an on-board device.SOLUTION: A portable terminal (30) that wirelessly communicates with an on-board device mounted on a vehicle, and is provided with an authentication key storage area for storing common key information (20) to be used for registering the portable terminal (30) in the on-board device, and a vehicle information registration area for storing unique key information (23) to be used for authentication with the on-board device, after completion of the registration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
