HEAT EXCHANGER AND REFORMER
To provide a heat exchanger and a reformer capable of sufficiently supplying heat from an exhaust gas to a part where a catalyst is supported to keep activity of the catalyst, in being used as a reforming catalyst.SOLUTION: In a heat exchanger in which a first honeycomb structure made of ceramics and formed by arranging a number of cells applied as a first circulation passage of a fluid in parallel in a longitudinal direction through partitions, and second honeycomb structures made of ceramics, disposed at both sides of the first honeycomb structure, and formed by arranging a number of cells applied as a second circulation passage of a fluid in parallel in a longitudinal direction through partitions, are combined in a manner that the first circulation passage and the second circulation passage are orthogonal to each other, a thickness of the partitions constituting the first honeycomb structure is thinner than a thickness of the partitions constituting the second honeycomb structure, and a cell density of the first honeycomb structure is higher than a cell density of the second honeycomb structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】 改質触媒として使用する際、触媒の活性を高く保つために触媒が担持された部分に排ガスからの熱を充分に供給することができる熱交換器及び改質器を提供する。【解決手段】 流体の第1流通路となる多数のセルが隔壁を隔てて長手方向に並設されたセラミック製の第1のハニカム構造体と、前記第1のハニカム構造体の両側に配置され、流体の第2流通路となる多数のセルが隔壁を隔てて長手方向に並設されたセラミック製の第2のハニカム構造体とが、前記第1流通路と前記第2流通路とが直交するように組み合わされた熱交換器であって、前記第1のハニカム構造体を構成する隔壁の厚さは、前記第2のハニカム構造体を構成する隔壁の厚さより薄く、前記第1のハニカム構造体のセル密度は、前記第2のハニカム構造体のセル密度より高いことを特徴とする熱交換器。【選択図】 図2
