To provide a crime prevention system which can be relatively easily retrofitted to an existing building.SOLUTION: A crescent lock 30 has a crescent 31 and a crescent receiver 32. A first detected part 41a is attached to a side face 36b of a handle 36 of the crescent 31, a first detection part 41b is attached to a side face 46 of a sash door 15a, and the first detected part 41a is detected by the first detection part 41b when the handle 36 is in a locked position. A second detected part 42a is attached to a side face 36a of the handle 36, a second detection part 42b is attached to an indoor side 44 of the sash door 15b, and the second detected part 42a is detected by the second detection part 42b when the handle 36 is in a locked position while the sash doors 15a and 15b are in a closed state. A notification process is performed when a state in which the first detection part 41b and the second detection part 42b are in their detection modes is shifted to a state in which the first detection part 41b is in its detection mode but the second detection part 42b is not in its detection mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
