To press-weld a relay member to an underground pipe, thereby enabling the underground pipes to be reliably connected to each other while avoiding flowing of a filler filling a joint part into the underground pipe.SOLUTION: A relay member 6 for an underground pipe inside a precast concrete wall for connecting underground pipes 4, 4' that are embedded inside a pair of precast concrete walls 2, 2' in a joint part 3, wherein a cylindrical main body 6a is provided on an outer or inner peripheral surface thereof at both the ends with a water expansive nonwoven fabric cloth 8 that is in press-contact with inner or outer peripheral surface of the underground pipe 4, 4'.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
