JOINING METHOD AND JOINING STRUCTURE
To improve strength of a joint portion when two members are joined by fitting fitting portions.SOLUTION: A joining method according to the present disclosure is a joining method for joining a first member and a second member. The first member has a first fitting portion having a first length in a first direction and a first facing surface, and the second member has a second fitting portion to be fitted with the first fitting portion and a second facing surface to be faced to the first facing surface. A first slide step in which by sliding the first member and the second member in a second direction different from the first direction, the first facing surface and the second facing surface face each other over a predetermined length in the second direction, and after the first sliding step, a second slide step in which by sliding the first member and the second member in the first direction, the first fitting portion and the second fitting portion are fitted, and a cavity having a second length longer than the first length in the first direction is formed between the first facing surface and the second facing surface, and an insertion step of inserting a plug member into the cavity are performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
