To realize a screen residue separation system, activated sludge treatment system, screen residue separation method, and activated sludge treatment method that can reduce the number of equipment, area, and cost required for operation.SOLUTION: A screen residue separation system includes a first screen residue separation device 4 and second screen residue separation device 5 capable of separating screen residue S of water to be treated W1. The first screen residue separation device 4 has a first filter 41 having a predetermined opening. The second screen residue separation device 5 has a second filter 51 having a larger opening than the first filter 41.
