To effectively use grinding surfaces of grinding belts that are wider than the width of rail heads and swiftly and accurately re-profile rail joints.SOLUTION: It includes a trolley body 11, a rail re-profiling part 12 provided on the trolley body 11, and a pressing plate elevating mechanism part 13 that is provided on the trolley body 11, raises and lowers a pressing plate 13b1 inside a re-profiling belt 12c across front and rear grinding belt rollers 12b,12b and re-profiles rail surfaces. In the front and rear parts of the trolley body 11 there is a wheel lateral slide mechanism part 14 which has plunger pins 14c which slide wheel support parts 11e,11e that rotatably support the wheels 11f,11f, respectively in the lateral direction of the intersecting rail with respect to the longitudinal direction of the rail and fixed at multiple positions, and lateral positioning plates, etc., which have the well-known LM guide comprising LM rails and LM blocks and multiple positioning holes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
