To provide a connection member which is located between a damper on which an axial force acts and a structure, has a simple configuration, and is capable of following displacement in a direction perpendicular to each of the axial direction and an out-of-plane direction.SOLUTION: A connection member 1 is provided between a damper 4 and a structure 2, and includes: one side base plate 3 connected to the structure 2; the other side base plate 5 connected to the damper 4; a vertical displacement follow-up mechanism 9 having a steel bar 7 whose surface facing the one side base plate 3 is arc-shaped, provided in a gap 6 formed between the one side base plate 3 and the structure 2; a one-side engagement portion 10 connected to the one side base plate 3 and extending in a direction of the damper 4; and the other side engagement portion 11 connected to the other side base plate 5 and extending in a direction of the structure 2. The one-side engagement portion 10 and the other-side engagement portion 11 are rotatably connected in the out-of-plane direction relative to the axial direction of the damper 4, and the structure 2 and the one side base plate 3 are displaceably connected in the axial and out-of-plane directions, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
