To provide a member connection tool and a member connection method that can easily connect two members used in construction.SOLUTION: A member connection tool interposing between a first member A and a second member B and connecting the first member A and the second member B includes: a recess 13 formed in one opposing main surface 11; a first through hole 14 formed in the recess 13 and in which a screw for connecting the first member A is inserted; and a second through hole 15 formed in an area where the recess 13 is not formed and in which the screw or a nail for connecting the second member B is inserted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
