To provide an earth retaining member capable of preventing deformation of a flange thereof due to the tensile force acting in the circumferential direction of a wall.SOLUTION: The earth retaining members are combined in a circumferential direction and an axial direction of the wall, the earth retaining members each including: an axial flange extending therealong at the end in the circumferential direction; a pair of body parts each extending in the circumferential direction and having a corrugated cross section that abuts the axial flange; a first joint formed on an axial flange at the valley of the corrugated cross section when viewed from the inside of the wall, which joins the axial flange and an axial flange of another adjacent earth retaining member; and a second joint formed in a position different from the first joint which joins the axial flange and an axial flange of another adjacent earth retaining member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
