EARTH RETAINING MEMBER AND EARTH RETAINING STRUCTURE
To provide an earth retaining member and an earth retaining structure capable of securing strength of a connection part in the circumferential direction.SOLUTION: An earth retaining member has a body whose cross-sectional shape perpendicular to the first direction is worked in a wave shape and plate-like vertical flange parts set at both ends of the first direction of the body. The vertical flange parts are connected with each other by bolts to form an earth retaining structure. The body has lateral flange parts which are formed at both ends in the width direction of the main body perpendicular to the first direction and are formed with connection holes penetrating through a face perpendicular to the width direction. In a cross section perpendicular to the first direction, a section modulus Z1 of the body when a neutral axis of the cross section of the body is parallel to the width direction, and in a cross section perpendicular to the width direction of the main body, a section modulus Z2 when the neutral axis of the cross section of the vertical flange is parallel to the thickness direction of the body are defined. When a factor based on a bearing area ratio of the bolts fastened to the vertical flange part is assumed as K, and a factor determined according to the number of set bolts set to the vertical flange part is assumed as α, the section modulus Z2 satisfies a relation of 2Z2×K×α>Z1 ...
