HYDRAULIC SHOVEL AND HYDRAULIC SHOVEL CONTROL METHOD
To suppress occurrence of an overrun phenomenon.SOLUTION: A hydraulic shovel includes: a power takeoff; an engine connected to the power takeoff; a hydraulic pump for turning which is connected to the power takeoff and is driven by the engine; a hydraulic motor for turning which is driven by hydraulic oil discharged from the hydraulic pump for turning; a first main oil passage for connecting a first discharge port of the hydraulic pump for turning and a first suction port of the hydraulic motor for turning; a second main oil passage for connecting a second discharge port of the hydraulic pump for turning and a second suction port of the hydraulic motor for turning; a neutral holding valve which is arranged in the first main oil passage and the second main oil passage, and controls passage of the hydraulic oil; a regenerative energy absorption device which is connected to the power takeoff and absorbs regenerative energy generated by the hydraulic oil supplied to the hydraulic pump for turning from the hydraulic motor for turning through a meter-out opening of the neutral holding valve; and a valve control part for controlling an area of the meter-out opening based on the state of the regenerative energy absorption device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
