To provide a volume estimation device and a volume estimation method, capable of easily estimating a volume of a seal material used in a use spot.SOLUTION: A volume estimation device includes a temperature measurement unit (control unit 13) that can measure a surface temperature of a seal material (filler 9) while the seal material (filler 9) emitting heat in a usable state (from the start of kneading to the completion of curing) is used in a use spot (gap S), and a volume estimation unit (control unit 13) that estimates a volume of the seal material (filler 9) on the basis of a measured value of the surface temperature measured by the temperature measurement unit (control unit 13).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
