To provide a roofing material and a roof structure capable of preventing rainwater from accumulating in a part through which a binding nail of an underlaying material penetrates.SOLUTION: A plurality of roofing materials 130 are provided on a roof structure 1 including a sloping sheathing board 110 and underlaying material 120 provided on sheathing board 110. The roofing materials are arranged on the underlaying material 120 in a direction from a ridge 11 to an eaves 12 of the sheathing board 110 and in a width direction perpendicular to the direction from the ridge 11 to the eaves 12. The roofing materials are partially overlapped in the vertical direction and tied to the sheathing board 110 with a tie nail 140. The roofing materials have a plurality of holes 131 to which the tie nail 140 is arranged. The upper end portions thereof are inclined from the upper end portion toward the lower end portion side in the width direction, with the portions where the plurality of tie nails 140 for binding the roofing materials 130 stacked above are adjacent to each other as a top portion 130a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
