To provide a template positioning device capable of removing a position adjustment mechanism from a support member while maintaining a position adjustment state of a template after the position of the template supported by the support member is adjusted by the position adjustment mechanism.SOLUTION: A template positioning device that is supported by a plurality of support members installed in a hoistway and positions a template to which an upper-end portion of a piano wire is attached, comprises a position adjusting mechanism for adjusting the position of the template, a frame for supporting the position adjusting mechanism and detachably attached to the support member, and a fixture for fixing the template whose position is adjusted by the position adjusting mechanism to the support member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
