The invention discloses a formwork positioning device suitable for double-curvature bare concrete and a positioning method of the formwork positioning device. The positioning device comprises a supporting frame body and a positioning device, wherein the supporting frame body is used for being arranged on one side of a to-be-constructed position of the double-curvature bare concrete in a supported mode; the back ridges are arranged in the horizontal direction and are vertically connected to the side, relatively close to the to-be-constructed position of the double-curvature bare concrete, of the supporting frame body at intervals; a plurality of U-shaped clamps are arranged on the side, back to the supporting frame body, of each back ridge at intervals, and each U-shaped clamp is connected to the corresponding back ridge through a connecting rod in a distance-adjustable mode. The plurality of pipe fittings are used for connecting the plurality of back ridges in series, the plurality of pipe fittings are arranged at intervals in the length direction of the back ridges, each pipe fitting is vertically clamped in the corresponding plurality of U-shaped clamps, and the plurality of pipe fittings form a curved surface framework for laying a template by adjusting the distance of each U-shaped clamp relative to the back ridges.
