To remove a position adjustment mechanism from a support member while a template is supported by the support member after the position of the template is adjusted by the position adjustment mechanism.SOLUTION: A template positioning device for positioning a template which is supported by a plurality of support members installed in a hoistway and to which piano wires are attached comprises: a gripping member that is attachable to and detachable from the template, grips the template, and moves together with the template; and a position adjustment mechanism for adjusting the position of the template gripped by the gripping member by moving the gripping member integrally with the template. The position adjustment mechanism includes a first driving unit that moves the gripping member in a first direction, a second driving unit and a third driving unit that move the gripping member in a second direction, and a stand that is attachable to and detachable from the support member and supports the second driving unit and the third driving unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
