To provide a pile head structure comprising a pile head base plate provided on a pile head portion for connecting the pile head portion made to rotationally penetrate underground with a foundation beam of a building, which can be simply and securely fixed to a steel pipe pile upper end and can make connection with a foundation beam easy.SOLUTION: A pile head structure 1 weld-fixes a pile head base plate 3 for fixing a foundation beam of a building to an upper end portion 2a at a prescribed height of a steel pipe pile 2 made to penetrate underground. The pile head base plate 3 is constituted of: a connection pipe 5 weld-fixed to a peripheral edge of an opening portion 4 and having an outer diameter and an inner diameter that are the same as those of the steel pipe pile 2; and a backing fitting 7 provided on an outer peripheral face of a weld portion 6 of the upper end portion 2a of the steel pipe pile and the connection pipe 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
