BUCKLING RESTRAINT BRACE, AND FRAMEWORK INCLUDING THE BUCKLING RESTRAINT BRACE
To provide a buckling restraint brace capable of high yield strength while maintaining a binding force even when deformed, and a framework including the buckling restraint brace.SOLUTION: A disclosed buckling restraint brace 1 is a buckling restraint brace 1 that includes a cross-section steel core 3 and a wooden buckling restraint 5 arranged enclosing the core 3. The core 3 has elastic parts 7 that elastically deform on both ends in the longitudinal direction and has a plasticized section 9 consisting of a cross-section in which the width of the horizontal section is greater than that of the vertical section in the part sandwiched between the elastic parts 7. The buckling restraint 5 consists of a pair of members arranged and joined so as to sandwich the core 3 from the vertical direction or the width direction, and has a groove 15 corresponding to the shape of core 3 on the joint surface of each member. With the core 3 placed in the groove 15, a gap between the horizontal part of the core 3 and buckling restraint 5 is set to be smaller than the gap in the vertical direction between the buckling restraint member 5 and the vertical portion of the core member 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
