BUCKLING RESTRAINT BRACE
To provide a buckling restraint brace that can exhibit stable performance while suppressing damage to an unbonded portion provided between a core material and a buckling stiffening material and an associated local buckling of a core material.SOLUTION: A buckling restraint brace 1 comprises: a steel core material 2; a buckling stiffening material 3 comprising a cylindrical outer steel material 4 provided to cover the core material 2 from the outside and a cement-based filling portion 5 provided inside the outer steel material 4; and an unbonded portion 7 provided between the core material 2 and the cement-based filling portion 5. The unbonded portion 7 comprises: a deformation absorption layer 8 provided on a surface 2s of the core material 2 and absorbing deformation of the core material 2; and a sliding layer 9 provided between the deformation absorption layer 8 and the cement-based filling portion 5 so as to be able to slide freely with respect to the cement-based filling portion 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
