To provide an abnormality determination method and an abnormality determination system by which abnormalities including a derailment possibility are determined by a single measurement by using data measurable on board and digitizing the statistic features of the measured data.SOLUTION: An abnormality determination method to evaluate an abnormality existence of a rail on which a railway vehicle travels includes a data acquisition step to acquire more than one onboard measurement data using measurement means installed in said railway vehicle, an abnormality degree calculation step to calculate an abnormality degree from said onboard measurement data and an evaluation step to evaluate an existence of the track abnormality from the abnormality degree calculated in said abnormality calculation step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
