WEED-PREVENTING BLOCK AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREOF
To provide a weed-preventing block applicable to a thin sheet-like plate installed on a flat face like a sidewalk surface and having a weed-preventing structure, and an installation method thereof.SOLUTION: A weed-preventing block has an octagonal flat plate part 4 having a recessed face 2 formed on one face, a square projection part 5 projecting from roughly a central part of the recessed face 2 of the flat plate part 4 and having at least roughly same side length TL as one side length HL of the flat plate part 4, and a rhizome guide 9 being surroundings of the projection part 5 of the recessed face 2 of the flat plate part 4, formed inclined downward toward the projection part 5 from an outer peripheral end of the flat plate part 4 and guiding roots and stems of plants to desired directions. Thus, buds of seeds are prevented to extend upward between weed-preventing blocks 1, or roots are prevented to extend downward and grow, and weed-preventing effect is obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 歩道面などの平坦面に設置する薄い板状の舗装用ブロックにも用いることができる防草構造を備える防草ブロック及び防草ブロックの設置方法を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】 一面に凹み面２が形成された八角形の平板部４と、この平板部４の凹み面２のほぼ中央から突出し、少なくとも平板部４の一辺の長さＨＬと同じ側の一辺の長さＴＬをほぼ同じとした四角形の突出部５と、前記平板部４の凹み面２側の突出部５周辺であって、平板部４外周端から突出部５に向けて下方傾斜状に形成され、植物の根や茎を所望の方向に案内する根茎ガイド９とを備えたことにより、種子の芽が防草ブロック１間の隙間を通じて上方へ伸びたり、根が逆に下方へ伸びて成長してしまうことを防止して防草効果を奏するものである。【選択図】図１
