To maintain a high yield strength with a simple structure in a buckling restraint brace in which restraint members are arranged facing each surface of a core member.SOLUTION: A buckling restraint brace 1 comprises a core member 2 having joint portions 22 on both longitudinal end sides of an elongated plate 21 and a pair of restraint members 3 arranged facing each surface of the core member 2. The restraint member 3 comprises a box-shaped member 31 having an opening on a side where the core member 2 is positioned and having recessed portions 31b at both end side portions overlapping with the joint portions 22 to avoid interference with the joint portions 22; a hardening member 32 filled in a box-shaped member 31 and hardened; and a metal reinforcing member 33 arranged in the hardening member 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
