EXCREMENT DETECTION DEVICE
To provide an excrement detection device which reduces a load of processing about the presence/absence of excrement and saves a storage capacity of a storage unit.SOLUTION: An excrement detection device comprises: an optical sensor 14 which images the inside of a bowl part 22 that receives excrement in a prescribed cycle; a storage unit 16 which stores captured image data; and an image processing unit 15 which determines the presence/absence of excrement being dropping into the bowl part based on the image data in each fixed time. The image processing unit stores the image data used for determination of the presence of excrement and the subsequent image data for the fixed time in the storage unit when there is excrement, and does not store the image data used for determination of the absence of excrement and the subsequent image data for the fixed time in the storage unit when there is no excrement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
