To provide a drive control device of a turning type work machine which can adjust turning acceleration to target turning acceleration according to the operation amount of turning operation, even if combined operation for operating a turning motor and other hydraulic actuators is performed.SOLUTION: A drive control device 101 of a turning type work machine 100 includes: a compensation control valve 33 which is interposed between a hydraulic pump 22 and a first actuator 7, and can adjust the degree of an opening so as to change a flow rate of a hydraulic fluid supplied to the first actuator 7 from the hydraulic pump 22; a turning operation device 42 to which turning operation operating a turning motor 11 is given; a first operation device 41 to which first operation operating the first actuator 7 is given; and a controller 70 for adjusting the degree of the opening of the compensation control valve 33 so as to control actual turning acceleration to target turning acceleration according to the operation amount of turning operation, in composite operation of the first operation and the turning operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
