VIBRATION DAMPING BUILDING
To provide a vibration damping building in which a vibration damping device including a swing damping mechanism is installed on a surface having an entrance/exit so as not to impair openness and aesthetic appearance.SOLUTION: A vibration damping building 1 includes a frame 12 including a first column 8 and a second column 9 arranged apart from each other in a predetermined direction and a first beam 10 and a second beam 11 extending in a predetermined direction and arranged two or more levels apart from each other; a wall body 14 including a space 15 for a meter box, etc. arranged in the frame 12 and provided inside and an entrance/exit 16 provided for each floor; and a vibration damping device 18 housed in the space 15 and including a swing vibration damping mechanism. The entrance/exit 16 of each level between the first beam 10 and the second beam 11 is arranged to be shifted in a predetermined direction with respect to the entrance/exit 16 of at least one other level between the first beam 10 and the second beam 11 so as not to overlap the vibration damping device 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
