To perform retention and release operations of a pair of opposing lower holding members and a pair of opposing upper holding members independently while improving flexibility of the retention and release operation of the lower holding member and the upper holding member for various specifications of road cones, and to perform the retention and release operations of the lower and upper holding members of the road cone reliably and stably with a simple structure of the clamping mechanism.SOLUTION: As a clamping mechanism 5 to perform retention and release operations of a pair of opposing lower holding members 3, 3 and a pair of opposing upper holding members 4, 4 respectively, a pair of lower shafts 3a, 3a having a rotating member 1 that causes the lower holding member to perform retention and release operations and a pair of upper tube shafts 4a, 4a each having the lower shaft inserted externally to cause the upper holding member to perform retention and release operations are arranged in the axial direction of road cone W respectively. There is also provided a lower motor for rotating the lower shafts forward and backward in mutually different directions; and an upper motor for rotating the upper tube shafts forward and backward in mutually different directions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
