MONOLITHIC REFRACTORY FOR MOLTEN ALUMINUM
To provide a highly functional monolithic refractory for molten aluminum which does not require the addition of a permeation inhibitor when manufacturing a refractory product, or which can exhibit excellent permeation suppression function even when the amount of permeation inhibitor used is reduced.SOLUTION: In a monolithic refractory for molten aluminum containing at least a refractory main raw material and a refractory binder, the refractory main raw material comprises dense ceramic granules having an apparent porosity of 7% or less and a chemical composition comprising at least 65 mass% or more of Al2O3, 0.06 to 35 mass% of MgO and 5 mass% or less of other components as a whole, and the refractory main raw material is composed of 40 to 95 mass% of fine powders having a particle size of less than 1 mm, 20 to 60 mass% of fine powders having a particle size of 1 mm to 45 μm, and 20 to 75 mass% of fine powders having a particle size of less than 45 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】耐火製品の製造に際して、浸透抑制剤の添加を必須とするものではない、若しくはその使用量を低減させても、優れた浸透抑制機能を発揮せしめることが出来る、高機能なアルミニウム溶湯用不定形耐火物を提供する。【解決手段】耐火物主原料と耐火性結合剤とを少なくとも含むアルミニウム溶湯用不定形耐火物において、耐火物主原料を、7%以下の見掛け気孔率を有する緻密なセラミック粉粒体にて構成すると共に、Al2O3の65質量%以上とMgOの0.06~35質量%とその他の成分の5質量%以下とからなる化学組成を全体として有するように構成し、且つ耐火物主原料が、1mm未満の粒度の微粉を40~95質量%含有すると共に、1mm-45μmの粒度の微粉:20~60質量%と、45μm未満の粒度の微粉:20~75質量%とを有するように構成した。【選択図】なし
