To provide a fireproof covering structure for a steel beam, capable of efficiently mounting a fireproof covering to a steel beam while ensuring the safety of workers.SOLUTION: A fireproof covering structure 1 includes: a steel beam 10 which is an H-shaped steel beam; a sheet-like fireproof covering material 20 which covers both side surfaces and a lower surface of the steel beam 10 and has folded-back portions 21 provided at upper ends of both side surfaces of the steel beam 10; a pair of mounting metal fittings 30 mounted to the folded-back portions 21 of the fireproof covering material 20; and a pair of fixing metal fittings 40 which fix the pair of mounting metal fittings 30 to the steel beam 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
