STEEL PIPE PILE AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD USING THE SAME
To provide a steel pipe pile capable of smoothly pressing out excavated soil without compressing it and preventing attachment of clods on an excavation blade, while avoiding slippage of the excavation blade.SOLUTION: A steel pipe pile 1 has a shaft part 21 made of a steel pipe, on an end part of which an excavation blade is arranged projecting downward. The steel pipe pile is driven into the ground by excavating the ground with the excavating blade while rotating the shaft part 21. The steel pipe pile is provided with a single one-side blade 25 as a first excavating blade, wherein the width of the one-side blade 25 is smaller than the outer diameter of the shaft part 21, and the center axis of the one-side blade 25 in a vertical direction is offset from the rotation center of the shaft part 21. The one-side blade 25 excavates the ground asymmetrically during one rotation of the shaft part 21 to push out the excavated soil produced through excavation to the side where no one-side blade 25 is arranged right below the shaft part 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
