Crashworthy Post Utilizing Conservation of Linear Momentum and Energy Absorbing Module and Method for Reducing Car Impact using such Crashworthy Post
The present invention relates to an impact reduction post and a method to reduce impact upon a car crash on a post using the same. According to the present invention, the post assembles and couples a post body and a base member with a fixation member to increase a supporting force against wind load and the like so as to reinforce rollover stability, thus being able to exhibit an excellent safety ensuring performance; transfers linear momentum of the car to the post body when a car collides with the post body, such that impact energy is partially dissipated while the car and the post body move in an integrated state; and allows an impact energy absorption module (EAM) or member of impact energy installed in the base member to be collided and deformed as the post body moves back by a crash, thus dissipating the remaining part of the impact energy of the car. The impact reduction post comprises the base member and the post body vertically erected to be installed on the base member.
본 발명은 지주 본체와 기초부재를 고정부재에 의해 조립 결합함으로써 풍하중 등에 대한 지지력을 증대시켜 전도안정성을 강화시킴으로써 우수한 안전 확보 성능을 발휘할 수 있도록 하되, 지주 본체에 차량이 충돌하였을 때는, 차량과 지주 본체가 일체화된 상태로 움직이는 동안에, 차량의 선형운동량이 지주 본체로 전달되어 충돌에너지의 일부가 소산되도록 하며, 충돌에 의해 지주 본체가 후방으로 이동하면서 기초부재에 구비된 충돌에너지 흡수모듈 또는 충돌에너지 흡수부재(Energy Absorbing Module/ 이하, "EAM"이라고 약칭함)을 충격하여 변형시킴으로써 차량 충돌에너지의 나머지 부분이 소산되도록 하는 감충(堪衝)지주 및 이를 이용하여 차량 지주충돌시 충격을 감소시키는 방법에 관한 것이다.
