CERAMIC WITH EXCELLENT THERMAL SHOCK RESISTANCE
Disclosed is a ceramic having excellent thermal shock resistance, which can suppress cracks due to external thermal shock by fibrous zirconia dispersed in a random direction. The ceramic of the present invention is represented by chemical formula 1, (A_xB_(1-x))_2Zr_2O_7, wherein A is a lanthanum-based rare earth metal, B includes at least one of yttria and a lanthanum-based rare earth metal which is not included in A, and 0 < x <= 1 is satisfied. The ceramic represented by the chemical formula 1 is a porous ceramic, has pores and fibrous zirconia dispersed in a random direction, and suppresses cracks by external thermal shock by the fibrous zirconia.
