The tip of an outer cable (3) of a cable device (5) is equipped with a cable-linking unit (9). The cable-linking unit (9) has a unit case (7) that is capable of being linked to a steering wheel base (1). A steering wheel-linking unit (8) formed in an inner cable (4) is held by the unit case (7) to be able to move on a predetermined movement path. The unit case (7) is provided with a cam part (12) for moving a cable-linking part (11) of an operation part (2) to a position where a link is established with the steering wheel-linking unit (8) by applying a pressing force on a movable protrusion part (10) during attachment to the steering wheel base (1), said protrusion part (10) being provided on the operation part (2).
