Described herein are transparent composites comprising holographic optical elements which are useful for reducing solar heating. The heat blocking transparent composite comprises at least one holographic optical element and a transparent waveguide substrate, wherein said transparent waveguide substrate having a top surface for receipt of solar radiation, a bottom surface, and at least one edge surface; and wherein the at least one holographic optical element is disposed on a surface of the transparent waveguide substrate, and wherein the holographic optical element is configured to diffract a portion of incident light at an angle that allows reflection of the light out the edge or top surfaces of the heat blocking transparent composite. In some embodiments the system may also comprise luminescent wavelength conversion elements. In some embodiments the system may also comprise UV absorbing elements.
L'invention concerne des composites transparents comprenant des éléments optiques holographiques qui sont utiles pour la réduction d'un chauffage solaire. Le composite transparent de blocage thermique comprend au moins un élément optique holographique et un substrat de guide d'onde transparent, ledit substrat de guide d'onde transparent comportant une surface supérieure pour la réception du rayonnement solaire, une surface inférieure, et au moins une surface de bord ; et le ou les éléments optiques holographiques étant disposés sur une surface du substrat de guide d'onde transparent, et l'élément optique holographique étant conçu pour diffracter une partie de la lumière incidente selon un angle qui permet la réflexion de la lumière hors des surfaces de bord ou supérieure du composite transparent de blocage thermique. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le système peut également comprendre des éléments de conversion de longueur d'onde luminescente. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le système peut également comprendre des éléments absorbant les UV.
