Die Erfindung betrifft ein Ablaufventil (1) für einen WC-Spülkasten mit einer Auslassöffnung (15), einem Überlaufrohr (10), das zwischen einer Offen- und Schließstellung zum Öffnen und Verschließen der Auslassöffnung (15) bewegbar ist, einer Drossel (30), die stromabwärts des Überlaufrohrs (10) angeordnet und zur Einstellung des Volumenstroms von Spülwasser, das bei Öffnen des Ablaufventils (1) durch das Ablaufventil (1) fließt, ausgebildet ist, wobei die Drossel (30) ein Betätigungsmittel (20) umfasst, das im montierten Zustand des Ablaufventils (1) zum Verstellen der Drossel (30) betätigbar ist.
