The invention relates to a device and method for the construction of floating barriers, and an ecological or artificial barrier constructed, according to the origin of the floating material collected and transformed, supporting a circular economy. The invention comprises means for removing floating material from a body of water (optional), a packer (8) for inserting the floating material into one or more packages (2) that make up the barrier, and a system (7) for placing the barrier in the body of water (also optional). It preferably corresponds to a floating trailer or vessel, which can be on one or both sides of the vessel or in the tunnel of a catamaran. Where appropriate, the packages (2) must be coupled together to form the barrier. They may comprise a wall (4) that is denser than the body of water and joined by one edge to the packages (2) so that it is approximately vertical in the water, or a tape that assists buoyancy.

Comprende medios para retirar material flotante de un cuerpo de agua (opcionales), un empacador (8) para introducir el material flotante en uno o más embalajes (2) que conforman la barrera, y un emplazador (7) de la barrera en el cuerpo de agua (igualmente opcional). Corresponde preferiblemente a una embarcación o remolque flotante, pudiendo estar en uno o los dos costados de la embarcación o en el túnel de un catamarán. En su caso, los embalajes (2) se deben acoplar entre sí para formar la barrera. Pueden comprender una pared (4) de mayor densidad que el cuerpo de agua y unida por un canto a los embalajes (2) para que quede aproximadamente vertical en el agua, o una cinta que asiste a la flotabilidad.
