A parking lot management system (300) according to the present disclosure comprises a management device (1), an imaging device (2), a cart (3), and a display device (4). The management device (1) acquires, from the imaging device (2), a license plate number and a space number of a parking space, and stores the license plate number and the space number as parking information. Next, the management device (1) acquires, from a cart terminal provided to the cart (3), an identification number of the cart terminal and information capable of specifying the parking information of a vehicle of a customer using the cart (3), and stores the identification number of the cart terminal in association with the parking information. Next, the management device (1) detects that the cart has been returned to a prescribed location, calculates an estimated time until the parking space will be made available, and updates the display of the display device (4) on the basis of the estimated time.
