Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Schloss (10, 110), umfassend einen Schlosskörper (12, 112) mit einem Verriegelungsmechanismus und einen beschichteten Schließbügel (14, 114), der relativ zum Schlosskörper (12, 112) zwischen einer Geschlossenstellung und einer Offenstellung beweglich ist, wobei der Schließbügel (14, 114) mittels des Verriegelungsmechanismus in der Geschlossenstellung an dem Schlosskörper (12, 112) verriegelbar ist. Zumindest ein Abschnitt des Schließbügels (14, 114) ist mit einer Beschichtung (20, 120) auf Basis eines thermoplastischen Polyurethans beschichtet, wobei das thermoplastische Polyurethan eine Shore A Härte im Bereich von 50 bis 93 aufweist. Ferner betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung die Verwendung eines solchen Schlosses zur Sicherung eines Zweirads, insbesondere eines Fahrrads, gegen Diebstahl.
