METHOD FOR PRODUCING HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE MOLDED BODY
This method for producing a honeycomb structure molded body has a mixing step (S1) and a molding step (S2). The mixing step (S1) involves preparing a clay material by mixing porous silica which has a prescribed water absorption property, a cordierite starting material which is not said porous silica, and a liquid containing water. The molding step (S2) involves preparing a honeycomb structure molded body by molding the clay material into a honeycomb structure and drying the same. The water absorption property is the time A [hr] at which the rising value of the percentage of free moisture in the porous silica is 10 wt%. In the mixing step (S1), mixing is performed such that the amount of time t1-t0 from when the porous silica contacts the atmosphere (t0) until when the same contacts the liquid (t1) falls within the time A [hr].
Ce procédé de production d'un corps moulé à structure en nid d'abeilles comporte une étape de mélange (S1) et une étape de moulage (S2). L'étape de mélange (S1) comprend la préparation d'un matériau argileux par mélange de silice poreuse qui a une propriété d'absorption d'eau prescrite, d'un matériau de départ de cordiérite qui n'est pas ladite silice poreuse, et d'un liquide contenant de l'eau. L'étape de moulage (S2) comprend la préparation d'un corps moulé à structure en nid d'abeilles par moulage du matériau argileux dans une structure en nid d'abeilles et le séchage de celui-ci. La propriété d'absorption d'eau est le temps A [hr] auquel la valeur croissante du pourcentage d'humidité libre dans la silice poreuse est de 10 % en poids. Dans l'étape de mélange (S1), le mélange est effectué de sorte que la durée t1-t0 à partir du moment où la silice poreuse vient en contact avec l'atmosphère (t0) jusqu'au moment où celle-ci vient en contact avec le liquide (t1) s'inscrit dans le temps A [hr].
