The present invention provides an operation method and an operation device which are for a mechanical parking device and which make it possible for a user to efficiently and safely operate the mechanical parking device. Provided is an operation method for a mechanical parking device 10 provided with an operation panel 3 with which a user operates opening and closing of an entrance/exit door 21 to a boarding/alighting room 2 which is for parking entry or parking exit of a vehicle C, wherein: the operation panel 3 is provided with an authentication device 31 that authenticates the user and an operation button 32 that is for performing an operation relating to the mechanical parking device 10; and said method comprises an emptiness confirmation step 9 for using the operation button 32 to confirm that no persons are in the boarding/alighting room 2, and an operation/operation authentication step 10 for using the authentication device 31 to simultaneously process an operation that is for closing the entrance/exit door 21 and user authentication that is for authenticating the user.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fonctionnement pour un dispositif de stationnement mécanique (10) pourvu d'un panneau de commande (3) au moyen duquel un utilisateur actionne l'ouverture et la fermeture d'une porte d'entrée/sortie (21) vers une salle d'embarquement/débarquement (2) qui est destinée à permettre à un véhicule (C) d'entrer ou de sortir d'un espace de stationnement, le panneau de commande (3) étant pourvu d'un dispositif d'authentification (31) qui authentifie l'utilisateur et d'un bouton d'actionnement (32) qui est destiné à effectuer une opération relative au dispositif de stationnement mécanique (10) ; et ledit procédé comprend une étape de confirmation de vide (9) pour utiliser le bouton de fonctionnement (32) pour confirmer qu'aucune personne ne se trouve dans la salle d'embarquement/débarquement (2), et une étape d'authentification de fonctionnement (10) pour utiliser le dispositif d'authentification (31) pour traiter simultanément une opération qui est destinée à fermer la porte d'entrée/sortie (21) et une authentification d'utilisateur qui est destinée à authentifier l'utilisateur.
