WATER DAMMING DEVICE PROVIDED WITH A FLOATING WATER DAMMING BODY, APPLICATION OF SUCH A WATER DAMMING DEVICE AND FLOATABLE WATER DAMMING BODY FOR SUCH A WATER DAMMING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a water damming device comprising a water damming body to be placed in or near a water body. The water damming body has a height and comprises a core covered with a protective layer and made of a core material with a density of less than 1.0 g/cm3. The water damming body is guided by an at least substantially stationary guiding device that can be moved freely up and down between a lower non-operational and a higher operational state. The water damming body has a condition in which the water damming body is located at a height of a maximum of 65% of the height of the water damming body compared to a highest non-operational condition. The invention also relates to a system of aligned water damming devices and to a method for installing one or more water damming devices in the ground at least substantially parallel to a water line according to the first aspect of the present invention.
