Study on Geological Prediction Method for Tunnel Boring Machine Tunneling Based on Geophysical Exploration
Tunnel Boring Machine(TBM) tunneling technology, which has gradually emerged recently, has improved the efficiency of tunnel excavation to a certain extent, and improved construction safety. To avoid the risk of cutter head jamming, it is urgent to solve the problem of geological advanced prediction. In this paper, considering the particularity of TBM construction conditions, based on the principle of TGS360pro (tunnel geology survey) advanced prediction method, the geological model with a water-filled cave in front of the face was simulated by the spectral element method. The applicability of TGS360Pro prediction technology to TBM tunnel construction is illustrated by analyzing wave field propagation characteristics. When the seismic wave method is used for advanced geological prediction, the main energy is transmitted in the form of Rayleigh surface wave. In TBM tunnel construction, the TGS360Pro prediction method can flexibly handle the problem of the TBM cutter occupying the tunnel face through a special observation system.
