Wyoming Highway Project F-034-4(9), Worland-Thermopolis Road (Big Horn River Bridge), Washakie County, Wyoming
The project concerns the improvement of the approach to the main business district of Worland from the south and west. The highway proposal is to construct a new approach that is more direct and directionally oriented than the existing one. The project will consist of construction of a 4-lane roadway section and include grading, drainage, surfacing, curb and gutter, storm sewer, landscaping, signalization, a bridge over the Big Horn River, miscellaneous work, right-of-way acquisition, and utility adjustment. The proposal will have a beneficial impact on the community in all areas of consideration that favor dual transportation facilities. It will, however, displace a radio station, a neighborhood grocery with living quarters, and a single family residence. (Author)
